Student Scientific Circle of Bromatology
As part of the presentation series of scientific circles of the Gdańsk Branch of PTChem, we are pleased to introduce the Student Scientific Circle of Bromatology! 🔬🍏
SKN Bromatologii, operating at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University of Gdańsk, brings together students interested in the subject of food, its quality and safety, and the impact of nutrition on human health. An important element of their activity is popularizing knowledge and promoting conscious consumer choices through:
- 🔹 Educational events – active participation in, among others, the Fahrenheit Science Picnic and the "Consult a Pharmacist" campaigns, where they combine nutritional education with health promotion through interactive stands.
- 🔹 Education on supplements and drug-food interactions – drawing attention to the rational use of dietary supplements and the impact of food components on the action of taken medications.
- 🔹 Scientific events and... space challenges! 🚀 – organizing conferences and a unique meeting with Polish astronaut, Dr. Eng. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, during which students presented issues related to nutrition during space missions.
The variety of undertaken initiatives means that the Student Scientific Circle of Bromatology perfectly combines academic activity with education and health prophylaxis. 👏
