Science Workshops in Rumia with Gdańsk Chemists
On February 12, the Książąt Pomorskich High School No. 1 in Rumia hosted science workshops featuring chemists from Gdańsk, including members of the Polish Chemical Society (PTChem). The event aimed to popularize chemical sciences and demonstrate their practical significance in daily life and industry.
The event program included:
- Spectacular demonstrations: including the Briggs–Rauscher oscillating reaction.
- Hands-on workshops: water quality analysis and practical soap-making sessions.
- Advanced technologies: VR educational modules focused on energy resources and renewable energy sources (RES).
These workshops were an excellent example of the active involvement of the chemical community in activities aimed at popularizing science and building social awareness of chemistry and modern technologies.
